Calls for TÜBİTAK 2232-A International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers and 2232-B International Fellowship for Early Stage Researchers 2024/2 are Now Open for Applications!
To encourage highly qualified researchers, particularly Turkish scientists with advanced scientific and technological expertise and experience abroad, to conduct research in strategic areas within Türkiye, TÜBİTAK has opened calls for the 2232-A International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers and 2232-B International Fellowship for Early Stage Researchers Programs as of October 23, 2024.

TÜBİTAK-ARDEB 1002 A Short-Term Support Project.
The project titled “Design of New Magneto-Plasmonic Absorbers as MR Contrast and Photothermal Therapy Agents,” led by Assist. 10 Million Vehicles Change Hands Annually, Irregularities on the Rise
Motorlu Araç Satıcıları Federasyonu (MASFED) verilerine göre Türkiye’de yaklaşık 70 bin motorlu araç satıcısı faaliyet gösteriyor ve yılda ortalama 10 milyon araç el değiştiriyor. Ancak, araç satışlarında karşılaşılan usulsüzlükler tüketicileri ve sektörü zor durumda bırakıyor. Yeditepe Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi Medeni Hukuk Anabilim Dalı Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Erhan Kanışlı, araç satışlarında sıklıkla hasar kaydının gizlenmesi, kilometre sıfırlama ve üretim hatalarının tüketiciye bildirilmemesi gibi sorunlar yaşandığını belirtti.

Russian Language Experts from 31 Countries Gather at Yeditepe University
The second "East-West International Russian Language Week" was hosted by Yeditepe University in Istanbul. Organized by the Russian Agency for Science and Culture (Rossotrudniçestvo) and Moscow State University of Linguistics, the event saw participation from experts from 31 countries, including France, Italy, Spain, China, and Austria. During the event, which took place from October 17-19 at Yeditepe University's 26 Ağustos Campus in Ataşehir, participants discussed new methods and contemporary approaches in Russian language education, and conducted special activities and classes aimed at eliminating cultural barriers and fostering intercultural dialogue.

Associate Professor Berke Kırıkkanat "Give Young People the Opportunity to Get Excited About Their Dreams"
Associate Professor Berke Kırıkkanat, noting that Turkish youth consider the socio-economic conditions of the country when planning their careers and prefer fields with high employment rates, stated, "Families should not try to fulfill the desires and aspirations they could not achieve in their own career lives through their children. Instead of directing them to a specific area, they should allow their children to act autonomously – to make their own decisions. It is important to give the young person the chance to get excited about their dreams." Associate Professor Kırıkkanat also mentioned that in addition to analytical and creative intelligence, emotional intelligence skills are crucial for career success.

Turkic States Unite for a Joint Future in Medicine!
The 'Turkish States 1st Medical Congress' attended by university rectors from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, has commenced at Yeditepe University. Speaking about the congress, Bedrettin Dalan, the Founder and Honorary President of İSTEK Foundation and Yeditepe University, emphasized their goal to strengthen collaboration among universities in Turkic states, particularly through joint efforts in Medicine. Prof. Dr. Erkut Attar stated, "The congress aims to facilitate closer scientific collaboration among the Turkic States; by creating joint projects and collaborations, we intend to establish a common scientific language."
