Yeditepe University “Make a Wish” Winners Announced

The Bests of 2016 were chosen based on polls conducted by the Yeditepe University Share My Dreams Community. The names awarded for prizes in the categories of art-sports-media and the Internet received their awards on March 6^th 2017 at Yeditepe University. The 29.200 TL collected at the ceremony night will be used to realize the wishes of 10 children.

Yeditepe University Share My Dream Community, the representative of the organization Make a Wish Turkey, generates projects that realizes dreams of children aged 3-18. Yeditepe University, which has been spreading hope to children and always working harder to give more since 2009, has the biggest Share My Dream Community in Turkey regarding the number of children it has reached and the high number of volunteers working with them. The community chooses “the Bests of the Year” with polls they conduct annually. The money obtained from the ceremony nights is used for the projects of the community.

On this special night, Barış Çalışkanoğlu, who recovered from an illness and whose wish came true. Shared his experience with the audience. Barış was inspired by Haluk Levent and became a musician. Barış’s wish was a guitar and it was given to him by Haluk Levent. After Haluk Levent, Barış Çalışkanoğlu performed a stage performance with Ferman Akgul. Barış’s performance received great applause.

Haluk Levent and Ferman Akgul, the project's supporters, were given an Honour Award by Zeynep Ürkün, the General Manager of the Make a Wishe Association.
