The Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was commemorated with a ceremony held at Yeditepe University on the 79th year of his departure.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Tülay Baran and Suzan Kapsiz, who donated photographs of Atatürk's never-before-seen photographs to Yeditepe University, made speeches at the ceremony.
Later, a theater group formed by the employees of Yeditepe University under the direction of theater department head Prof. Dr. Metin Balay, performed a part from "Nazım Hikmet's Kuvayı Milliye Destanı".
After Başak Tatlı presented a short musical concert, the exhibitions "Atatürk Portraits" by Yeditepe University Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Prof. Dr. Gülveli Kaya and "Atatürk Photographs" from Suzan Kapsız's collection were opened.
