Map of Needs Summit at Yeditepe University

Co-founder of Map of Needs and actor Mert Fırat came together with Yeditepe University students, and said that social cooperatives will be the subject of future years

The Map of Needs Summit organized by Yeditepe University Entrepreneurship Club was held on 2-3 November at the İnan Kıraç Hall on the 26 Ağustos Campus.

The need map, which is a non-profit social platform for individuals in need has been helping many people in need since its establishment.

Speaking at the opening of the summit, Yeditepe University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Aydin, said that everything is related to goodness and valuable and big organizations can make people feel good just by showing them that they are valuable and important to us. In addition, pointing out the need for a serious confidentiality Prof Dr. Aydın emphasized that good deeds need to be done without hurting anyone.

Co-founder of the Map of Needs and actor Mert Fırat also pointed out that the social movement “Map of Needs” was used very effectively in the world. He added “The social co-operative part of the business excites us. Social cooperatives will be the subject of the coming years”


Yeditepe University Founding President Advisor Prof. Dr. Sedefhan Oğuz also emphasized the importance of the Map of Needs.

Recalling that the modern cooperatives were born in 1844 in England, Ministry of Commerce Cooperative Department Deputy General Manager Ekrem Alper Bozkurt also referred to the cooperative movement that began in Turkey. Pointing out that the social cooperative train visited 11 cities, Bozkurt said that the train will take off again in the next spring.
