Applications for the "Yeditepe Innovative Ideas Competition" continue, opening doors for the business world and leading to new opportunities.
This is the second "7Tepe Innovative Ideas Competition" organized by the Technology Transfer Office of Yeditepe University within the framework of university-business world cooperation.
Yeditepe students, graduates, academics and administrative staff can participate in the competition, which is organized to evaluate opportunities and promote commercialized ideas. The deadline for applications is 21st November and the results will be announced at the award ceremony on December 7th, 2017.
Organized with the slogan: "The World Is Waiting To Discover You And Your Ideas. Share Your Idea, Realize your Projects. ", the competition will award 10.000 TL as first, 7.500 TL as second and 5.000 TL as third prize at the finals.
Yeditepe students Galip Kıvanç Yazar and Nurettin Kayhan Göncü, who won first prize with their Epidural Needle Method project (Medipic) in the competition held last year, won the TUBITAK Individual Young Enterprise (BIGG) support with the same project.
Preliminary application requirements for the competition, where various support prizes will be given as well, are as follows:
• Yeditepe University students, graduates, academicians and administrative staff can participate in the competition.
• Individuals or teams can apply for the competition. On applications made as a team, a team leader must apply on behalf of the team. In the case of an application as a team, one person cannot participate in more than one team. In such as case, both applications will be deemed invalid.
• Candidates cannot apply with a commercialized product already developed within a company, but only apply for business ideas to be developed and commercialized outside their company. In this case, being a company owner does not constitute an obstacle for an application. Applicants should not be involved in any partnership relation with a business.
• Multiple applications cannot be made with different business ideas. The applicant must have not previously benefited from the capital support provided by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology Tekno Venture Capital Support or from TÜBİTAK 1512 Program’s stage 2.
