Industrial Food Design Award for our Food Engineering Students

A group of students from Yeditepe University from the Departement of Food Engineering received honourable mention and monetary award in the 2. Industrial Food Design competition’ held by İstanbul Grains, Pulses, Oleganious Food Products Exporters Union in order to promote competitiveness in the export of industrial food products.

The aim of the project was to design sugary products with industrial methods inspired by traditional Turkish desserts. Our University joined the competition with the project called ‘Nokul’ inspired from Samsun region. Duygu Kıbıcı, Çağla Uysal, Neslihan Gizem Özan Yeditepe University graduates from the Department of Food Engineering; Cerent Uğurlu,  present graduate student at the Department of Biotechnology and a graduate of  İnönü University, Department of Food Engineering; and Maya Kurdoğlu from Central Saint Martins University, department of Industrial Design, England were the group members in the competition. Contestants received their awards during the 75. year reception dinner of İstanbul Exporters Association at Çırağan Palace.
