Layer by Layer
The exhibition is taking place between 28th September – 19th October 2016 at the Faculty of Fine Arts 5th floor exhibition area. The participants of the group exhibition, organized in collaboration by Assist. Prof. Burcu Ayan Ergen from Art Management Department and Assist. Prof. Kami Emirhan from the Fashion and Textile Design Department, are Burcu Ayab Ergen, Kami Emirhan, Işıl Eraslan, Zafer Akşit and Pınar Ceylan.
The artists created their pieces by printing on fabric, using acrylic on canvas, collage, and using a variety of other techniques. As can be seen by the title of the exhibition, the focus is on layers stacked on each other and layering. This occasionally reflects the jam by the reluctance of individuals in society, the creation of transparent layers by stacked memories and the layers of collections by repeated observations of places.
