Dean of Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry and head of the periodontology department, Prof. Dr. Bahar Eren KURU was invited as the external  jury member representing  the European Federation of Periodontoloy (EFP) for the examination of the Postgraduate students of periodontology program of  ACTA, in Holland, a program accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology.

The examination included the thesis defenses and case presentations of 5 students. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the examination was held on Zoom, an online platform on the 25th-26th of June 2020. During the first part of the exam, candidates defended their theses and during the second part, each candidate presented 7 different clinical cases.  As an EFP representative and International jury member, Prof. Dr. Bahar Eren KURU was together with other esteemed jury members: Prof. Dr. Bruno Loos, Dr. Monique Danser, Dr. Spiros Paraskevas, Prof. Dr. Ubele van der Velden and Dr. Jan Tromp. 

A special message to thank our dean for the great effort that was put into this examination  was sent by the director of the periodontology program in ACTA, Prof. Bruno Loos and his team. The message especially expressed their sincerity for the scientific depth of the questions  of our dean that alltogether with the other jury members made the examination the most fruitfull and enjoyable . The periodontology department of ACTA is known for hundreds of scientific publications and numerous inventions in the field.

We are honored to have Prof. Dr. Bahar Eren KURU, dean of our faculty and the director of the only periodontology program accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology in Turkey,  taking part in such a reputable international duty on behalf of our faculty and our country.
