Faculty members who have been rewarded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA) and are conducting research programs supported by institutions like the TÜBİTAK Research Support Programs Department (ARDEB), Turkey's National Agency, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, were presented their certificates of congratulation by rector Prof. Canan Aykut Bingol at a ceremony.
Rector Prof. Canan Aykut Bingöl emphasized the importance Yeditepe University gives to research and researchers at the ceremony where 12 certificates were presented under the coordination of the Project Management Office. Vice Rectors Prof. F. Yeşim Ekinci, Prof. Ahmet Aydın and Prof. İpek Karaaslan as well as Faculty Deans attended the ceremony.
Prof. Duygun Erol Barkana, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering received the TÜBA 2018 Outstanding Young Scientist Award in the field of Science and Engineering, Prof. Cengiz Erişen, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations in English received the TÜBİTAK 2018 TÜBİTAK Incentives Award in the field of Social Sciences, and Prof. Gülden Demet Lüküslü, Head of the Sociology Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences was granted the TUBITAK Ufuk 2020 Achievement Award.
