YEDİTEPE UNIVERSITY OFFERS A NEW SOLUTION FOR HAIR LOSS
In research-development labaratories of Yeditepe University’s department of Genetics and Bioengineering, studies carried out on baldness succeeded. The emergent product will be a solution for baldness and hair greying. In the press conference, Founder President of Yeditepe University, Bedrettin Dalan, and Genetics and Bioengineering Department Head Prof. Dr. Fikrettin Şahin, explained that Yeditepe University found a solution for baldness and hair Greying. Thanks to this product that emerged as a result of a study carried out in research-development laboratories of Genetics and Bioengineering Department of Yeditepe University, conducted by Prof. Dr. Fikrettin Şahin, Özge Sezin Somuncu, Pakize Neslihan Taşlı ve Okan Demir’in hair loss is prevented, hair is grown in bald areas, existing hair is thickened, and hair greying is prevented.
In his opening speech, Bedrettin Dalan emphasized Yeditepe University not only narrates, but also produces science, and stated that richness of countries is not measured with headcount, but with science and technology produced. Explaining that Yeditepe University Genetics and Bioengineering Department has more than 100 patent applications, Bedrettin Dalan, gave Prof. Dr. Fikrettin Şahin floor afterwards, in order for him to explain the formation process of the product that will be a solution for baldness.
Prof. Dr. Şahin stated that studies that began three years ago are about to be concluded, and the product will be released to the public as creams, sprays, lotion, or shampoos. Sharing the scientific map of studies, with press members, Prof. Dr. Şahin, explains that they applied stem cells isolated from foreskin of newborn babies, molecular coctail produced in culture medium and formulation prepared in order to remedy the defiences of vitamins and minerals that cause hair loss, in vitro, pre, preclinic and on volunteer human subjects.
Prof. Dr. Şahin, remarked that even though age, sex and genetic factors affect the results, they managed to mak new hair grow in approximately 10 days. Bedrettin Dalan states that this product, generated in Yeditepe University, is more effective than the hair loss products launched in the U.S.A., and adds that they want to name this product as “Kelopesia.”
