Yeditepe University Made a Lasting Impression at Koç Sport Fest

Yeditepe University became the most awarded university with 35 medals in the grand finals at "Koç Sports Fest", Turkey's largest participatory sports and youth festival at Pamukkale University.

Organized by Koç Holding, Koç Sports Fest is the largest participatory sports and youth festival in Turkey and this year the grand finals took place in Denizli. At the events that took place at Pamukkale University, champions in the athletics, basketball, mountain bike, football, soccer tennis, handball, gymnastics, archery, volleyball and swimming branches have been announced. The champions of Koç Sports Fest, which has become a more active platform every year for spreading sports awareness and fair play spirit, will represent our country at the European University Championships to be organized in 2018.

The grand finals of Koç Sports Fest, the largest participatory sports and youth festival in Turkey Koç Holding has been organizing since 2006, took place at Pamukkale University. Champions in Athletics, basketball, mountain bike, football, soccer tennis, handball, gymnastics, archery, volleyball and swimming branches were selected with the participation of about 5000 athletes, administrators, referees and coaches in Denizli. Yeditepe University became the champion at Women’s Swimming at the Koçfest Turkey Swimming Championship, winning a total 35 medals and becoming the most awarded university. Yeditepe University was followed by Anadolu University with 28 medals. Özyeğin University and Adnan Menderes University were among the most successful universities of the grand finals with 24 medals. Anadolu University succeeded in becoming the university with the most gold medal with 12 gold medals at the end of all competitions. Anadolu University was followed by Yeditepe University with 11 gold medals and Aksaray University with 8 gold medals.

This year's final competitions of Koç Sports Fest started with the Winter Games organized in Kayseri and Erzurum, and spring finals were held in Çanakkale, Tekirdağ, Konya, Adana and Eskişehir.
