The Global Education and Culture Research Centre, which was established in 2014, aims to explore various regions with their cultural, social, political and economic aspects. The goal is to analyze the similarities and differences between the historical and cultural ties that Turkey has with other regions through comparative and interdisciplinary studies. With contributions from many departments of the university, the Centre addresses developments from a wide perspective by taking multiple variables into consideration, tracing continuities and disjunctures in different regions.
The Center carries out high-quality research on political, economic, cultural, social and legal topics, in cooperation with relevant institutions, exchanging information and ideas.
