ANTRE
Yeditepe University, the Faculty of Communication, and the Department of Visual Communications Design opened their student exhibition titled, “Antre”. Attendees of the exhibition’s opening included Yeditepe University Rector Prod. Dr. Canan Aykut, Provost Prof. Dr. Ahemt Aydin, Vice Provost Prof. Dr. Servet Bayram, along with members of the student body and academic staff.
Before the exhibition was opened, the Yeditepe University Dance Club made a performance in front of the Fine Arts Building. The spectators watched with interest and the show received a large applaud.
At the opening, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Ilker Bicakci, thanked everyone for their efforts in putting the exhibition together, and she congratulated the students for their accomplishments. The head of the department of visual communications design, Assoc. Prof. Neda Ucer commented that after a long, and laborious work, the found a good result. She said, “I especially would like to thank our rector Prof. Dr. Canan Aykut Bingöl and those who have contributed. The highest contributors are our students. They have devotedly prepared fort his exhibition. I congradulate them”.
The work of 95 students will be exhibited in the Fine Arts Building from the 10th thru the 27th of May, 2016. The exhibition displays multiple mediums of art; drawing, illustration, collage, posters, graphic design, typography, photography, video and installation pieces. The entrance area, where the stories, pieces, and work are displayed is called the “Antre”, it is an interactive space with multi-dimensions allowing for the display of the Department of Visual Communication Design student’s work.
