Yeditepe University Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Students Reach the Finals of the DASK Competition
Yeditepe University Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department and Faculty of Architecture, Architecture Department students reached the finals of the Dask Earthquake Resistant Building Competition with their joint project called "Levent İkon"
With the concept of "office building projects in “4. Levent", 76 teams from 51 universities participated to the 4th Earthquake Resistant Building Design Competition organized by the Natural Disaster Insurance Institution (DASK). The projects of the contestants participating in groups of five were examined by the Competition jury and technical advisory committee and the final teams were identified.
Yeditepe University Civil Engineering Department and Faculty of Architecture, Architecture Department students Mustafa Abaş, Muhammed Safa Yağmurcu, Evren Doğruoğlu and Mert Çöl under the supervision of Dr. Selçuk İz became one of the 24 teams in the preliminary process. If project “Levent İkon” is awarded first prize in the finals, the university will receive an earthquake simulation table.
The finalists will compete in the grand final to be held on May 6-7-8.
