A Year of Awards for Yeditepe Faculty of Pharmacy
Yeditepe University Faculty of Pharmacy students made an impression with the awards they received in 2018. The students of the Faculty of Pharmacy have returned with a number of prizes from the Farmafikir, Pharmacy Meeting 2018 and the ALFA Rx Presentation Competition of the Alfa National Pharmacy Congress, which they attended this year.
Two Rewards from Farmafikir 2018
The "Farmafikir Innovative Project for Future Pharmacies Competition 2018 Finals" organized by the Pharmetic Entrepreneur Pharmacists Association was held on 29th of April at the Eskişehir Anadolu University 6th HYES Symposium. 31 projects from 12 universities took place in Farmafikir 2018, which is among the most comprehensive competitions held in the pharmaceutical field in Turkey.
The "PHARMAREA App", a project by 3rd year pharmacy students Elif Çisem Çöldür and Zeynep Güneş Tepe, was considered worthy of the first prize in the competition. Supervised by Assoc. prof. Dr. Hande Sipahi, the Pharmarea App project attracted a great deal of attention from the jury.
Fifth year pharmacy student Ariyen Farşi, won fourth prize in the same competition with the project "Pharmacovigilance Data System".

Two Awards from the Istanbul Chamber of Pharmacy
The award ceremony of the "Project Competition on New Employment Fields in Pharmacy", organized by the Istanbul Chamber of Pharmacy, was held on May 12th within the context of the "Pharmacy Meetings 2018" event in order to bring different perspectives to the problem of pharmacy employment and to contribute to the creation of new fields of activity in pharmacy. A total of 62 projects participated in the contest organized for students from pharmacy faculties in Istanbul.
In the competition consisting of two steps, "Pre-elimination" and "Project writing", our 5th year pharmacy students Gizem Ayan and Emre Karaçayır were awarded second prize with their projects "Family Health Center Pharmacy". Supervised by Assist. Prof. Dr. Enise Ece Gürdal, attracted a great deal of attention from the jury.
2nd year pharmacy student Hüsniye Birnur Güzeldağ won the "Honorable Mention" award with her project titled "Standardization in Vegetable Raw Material Handling" under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Engin Celep.

Another First Prize from the ALFA Rx Presentation Contest
Our students, Elif Çisem Çöldür and Zeynep Güneş Tepe, won the ALFA Rx Presentation Contest at the Alfa National Pharmacy Congress, which was organized by Medipol University between May 4-6.
In the competition themed "Perception and Awareness", 11 projects from 9 different pharmacy faculties were awarded to present in the first leg. Finalists were identified after jury presentations on 4th May.
In the final, 3rd grade pharmacy students Elif Çisem Çöldür and Zeynep Güneş Tepe were awarded first prize for their projects titled "Development of Only-Progestogen Vaginal Tampon Formulation via 3D Printer". Supervised by the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology Head Assist. Prof. Dr. Gülengül Duman, the project attracted a great deal of attention from participants.
