Two Awards to the Architecture Department

Faculty of Architecture, Architecture Department receives two separate awards from two different competitions.

Yeditepe University Architecture Department 4th year student Ezgi Özkoç and Cansu Ozdemir have received the Special Jury Award at the "48 Hours" student project ideas competition organized for undergraduate students by the Turkey Architecture Foundation Institute of Architecture while 3rd year student Esma Nur Ayvazoğlu was awarded second prize in the “Designing Doors'' 2018 Student Competition.

The student ideas competition “48 hours” is organized by the Turkey Architecture Foundation Institute of Architecture to find solutions to the problems of contemporary society, implement designer practice, and to enhance the ability for students to make quick decisions and present their projects on different environments. It is also held digitally on a limited 48 hours basis.

Ezgi Özkoç and Cansu Özdemir received their awards on the colloquium held on Saturday, April 28 at the Karaköy Branch of the Chamber of Architects.

Organized in the sponsorship of Artella Wooden Door Systems, the “Designing Doors” 2018 student ideas competition aims to emphasize the design importance of interior doors, to contribute to building culture and education, to support creative ideas, to bring designers, architects and interior architects interested in the sector together and to award successful designers in this area. Architecture Department 3rd year student Esma Nur Ayvazoğlu was awarded second prize among 2003 application.

Esma Nur Ayvazoğlu received the award on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the ITU Taşkışla Campus ceremony.
