Prof. Dr. Duygun Erol Barkana Receives TÜBA Outstanding Young Scientist Award

Yeditepe University - Head of Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department Head Prof. Dr. Duygun Erol Barkana wins the Outstanding Young Scientist award by the Turkey Academy of Sciences (TUBA) in the field of Science and Engineering.

The 2018 TÜBITAK and TUBA Awards Ceremony was held on December 26 at the Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey Grand National Assembly Chairman Binali Yıldırım, Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank and TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal.

At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Duygun Erol Barkana, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Yeditepe University, received the TÜBA Outstanding Young Scientist Award in the field of Science and Engineering.


 
Highly Qualified Studies on an International Level

Prof. Dr. Duygun Erol Barkana was awarded the TÜBA Outstanding Young Scientist Award for her “highly qualified international studies on control and robotic systems“. The award is given to academicians under the age of 39 who have made significant contributions to science. Prof. Dr. Duygun Erol Barkana continues her studies in the fields of “Medical Robots”, “Social Robots” and “Human-Robot Communication ” at Yeditepe University.
