Designs aimed at “Achieving Comfort while traveling” by students from the Yeditepe University Faculty of Architecture Department of Industrial Product Design were exhibited at the Inan Kıraç Exhibition hall between the dates of 8-15 February. In the "Driver and Passenger Circumference Designs" exhibition, students presented their designs to a jury of experts.
Realized in cooperation with Yeditepe University and MAN Turkey, the exhibition consisting of products by Faculty of Architecture Industrial Design Department 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students was held with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Canan Aykut Bingol, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Omar Gülsen, Industrial Design Department Head Prof. Dr. Cemil Toka and Turkey MAN Bus Development Manager Hussein Çavdar.
Designs to be evaluated by the Jury
The exhibition featured a wide range of different product designs, such as seating for the handicapped, ergonomic seats, seat designs that could hold close together people for family or trips with close friends.
The students also presented their designs to a jury composed of Head of Industrial Design Department of Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Cemil Toka, Deputy Head of Department Assist. Prof. Ayşem G. Başar, instructor Ergin Yetkin, MAN Turkey Bus Development Manager Hüseyin Çavdar, MAN Turkey Project and Intellectual Property Coordinator Mert Barut, MAN Turkey Industrial Designer Hüseyin Arpaci and MAN Turkey Bus seats producer Brusa Inc. designer Şirin Cincioğl. Members of the jury listened carefully to the project of about 20 students to decide on the three projects that will continue. MAN Turkey stated that they will announce the three projects on February 26th.
