Medical Students Meet at Yeditepe.

The National Medical Student Congress, where Yeditepe University hosts medical faculty students from all over Anatolia, received great interest again this year.

The 11th National Medical Students Congress, organized traditionally by Yeditepe University Medical Faculty Scientific Research Group (YÜTBAT) every year, was held this year at the İnan Kıraç Conference Hall at the 26 Ağustos Campus of Yeditepe University Kayışdağı between 22-24 April.

The main theme at the congress this year was "Neuropsychiatry and Neurocognitive Sciences”. Yeditepe University rector Prof. Dr. Canan Aykut Bingöl and brain surgeon of the century Prof. Dr. Gazi Yaşargil together with academicians and students from the departments of basic sciences and clinical sciences shared current information on neurocognitive sciences. At the congress attended by 550 medical students from 67 medical faculties, medical students from different universities made beautiful oral presentations and presented posters. In addition to the intensive scientific program, the students who participated in the rich social activities had a lot of fun.

The National Medical Student Congress is organized by the organizing committee which consists of academic members and students, and YÜTBAT Chairman Umay Dilek and Congress President İlke Aydıner. The Congress was also supported by contributions from Rector Prof. Dr. Canan Aykut Bingöl, Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Sinan Ercan and YÜTBAT Advisor Assoc. Prof. Gülderen Yanıkkaya Demirel.
