The March 18th Çanakkale victory in its 103rd year

Due to the 103rd Anniversary of the Çanakkale victory and Martyrs’ Day, a ceremony was held at Yeditepe University. At the ceremony, Nazım Hikmet's "The Legend of the War of Independence" was premiered under the direction of Prof. Dr. Metin Balay by the Yeditepe University Theater which consists of Yeditepe University employees.

The ceremony held at the İnan Kıraç Conference Hall started with a stand in silence in honor of the martyrs and followed with the National Anthem. Speaking at the opening, Graduate School of Ataturk Principles and Revolution History Director Prof. Dr. Tülay Baran said that the Çanakkale War presented Atatürk to the Turkish nation and added "Çanakkale was the preface of the War of Independence".

A Round of Applause from the Audience

At the ceremony, the Yeditepe University Theater, which consists of university employees and is directed by Prof. Dr. Metin Balay, was excited to be performing the premiere of "The Legend of the War of Independence".

After the opening, the lights went off, the curtains opened, and the group took their places on the stage. The group, who performed the unforgettable epic with an amateur spirit and professional acting, received big applause from the audience.
