2nd INTERNATIONAL ISTANBUL DISASTER AND EMERGENCY MEDICINE SYMPOSIUM

The 2nd ‘International Istanbul Disaster and Emergency Medicine Symposium ’, organized by Yeditepe University will be held on 5-7 October at the Doğa Holiday Village in Şile, Istanbul.
Measures to be taken before and after like "Disaster Education in Turkey and in the world", "Disaster Preparedness", "Emergency Assistance in Disasters", "Disaster Management", and "Triage" will be discussed at the Symposium.

Within the scope of the symposium, the National Medical Rescue Team will perform an ‘evacuation from a high building in case of a disaster’ drill.

Founder and Honorary President of Yeditepe University Bedrettin Dalan and the Rector of Yeditepe University Prof Dr. Canan Aykut Bingöl will be Honorary Chairpersons, while Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Sina Ercan, Prof. Dr. Sezgin Sarıkaya and Prof. Dr. Doğaç Niyazi Özüçelik will act as Presidents at the Symposium. Moreover, AKUT Founder Assist. Prof. Dr. Member Feridun Çelikmen and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yazıcıoğlu will be secretary general at the Symposium.  In addition to AFAD President Mehmet Güllüoğlu and the President of the Turkish Red Crescent Kerem Kınık, leading names of the field will participate.
