Yeditepe University Information Center Directorate hosted writer, movie actor and physician Ercan Kesal for a talk held during the 54th Library Week. The talk at the İnan Kıraç Hall attracted great interest.
Ercan Kesal, who shared many memories including his family he grew up to, the success he has earned from the past to the present day, defined himself as "Life Gourmand". Kesal said:
"When I was a child, I lived in a crowded, farming community where no one questioned what I ate, what I wore, or whether I was hungry or not. On the one hand, I was ugly and nobody loved me. How do you get out of this situation, how do you get happy, or have dreams? Of course, by reading books ... For example, when I first went to Paris, I already knew Notre Dome because I had already read the Hunchback of Notre Dame. For me to learn a place, it was enough for me to read the books of the place. I become a new character that travels with every book I read"
At the end of the talk, Ercan Kesal signed his last book called "Aslında..." for his readers.
