Yeditepe University Department of History Ph.D. student took Onur Yamaner's book "Behind the Front: The Spanish Civil War and Mujeres Libres" has been published.

The summary of the book written by Onur Yamaner is as follows;

Mujeres Libres’s confederation, the meetings, the magazines, and perhaps most importantly, the struggle against double exploitation, provided the gathering women under one roof and raised awareness among them. However, all of this could not prevent the fighting, and losing their children, their families, their homes, even their hopes, and in short, almost everything. Some will die in other lands far from their homes, some will question all that happened, and others will try to forget.

It had to take thirty-six years before understanding the values ​​of the sorrows and the struggles that these women behind the front had experienced and to reap what they had sown.
