Turkic States Unite for a Joint Future in Medicine!

The 'Turkish States 1st Medical Congress' attended by university rectors from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, has commenced at Yeditepe University. Speaking about the congress, Bedrettin Dalan, the Founder and Honorary President of İSTEK Foundation and Yeditepe University, emphasized their goal to strengthen collaboration among universities in Turkic states, particularly through joint efforts in Medicine. Prof. Dr. Erkut Attar stated, "The congress aims to facilitate closer scientific collaboration among the Turkic States; by creating joint projects and collaborations, we intend to establish a common scientific language."

"Turks Should Be United in Language, Thought, and Deed"

Speaking at the opening of the congress, which is taking place from September 5-8, Bedrettin Dalan referred to the famous Turkist İsmail Gaspıralı's words, saying, "Turks should be united in language, thought, and action." He continued, "Medicine is one of humanity's most crucial needs. There is already much collaboration in the Turkic world, and we must continue to do so. One of the most significant collaborations has commenced right here at our university. Yeditepe University embodies a Turkish institution in every sense from its architecture to its spirit. That is why I particularly wished for the first Turkic States Medical Congress to occur here. Numerous universities from the Turkic world are participating in the congress. We aim to strengthen the collaboration among universities in Turkic States, especially in Medicine."

"Holding on to Our Core Values is Crucial"

Yeditepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Canan Aykut Bingöl, speaking about the importance of the congress, stated, "We are proud to host the Turkish States 1st Medical Congress at our university, which upholds its core values, contributes to significant scientific work, and educates future generations. Yeditepe University is one of the first private universities established in Turkey and is nearing its 30th year. We are extremely pleased to host rectors, academics, and students from universities of Turkic States."

"The Congress Aims to Establish a Scientific Language Among Turkic States"

"The congress aims to promote closeness in science among the Turkic States, which have begun to unite socially, by initiating joint projects and collaborations to establish a common scientific language. The Turkish language is essential. We aim to achieve unity in scientific language and design scientific projects. By doing so, we aim to enhance the welfare and strength of all Turkic States."

The congress is also enriched with cultural activities, providing participants an enjoyable experience. On the opening day, a series of performances delighted the attendees.
