Graduates from Türkiye Will Obtain Degrees Equivalent to a U.S. Diploma!
Yeditepe University has become the first university in Europe and the second in the world to be accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) in the United States. With this accreditation, Yeditepe University's Faculty of Dentistry graduates now have the same rights and privileges as dental graduates in the United States.
DENTAL GRADUATES EXEMPT FROM MANY ADDITIONAL TRAININGS AND EXAMS
As is well-known, to practice dentistry in the United States, a dentist who has yet to graduate from a U.S. school or a school with CODA accreditation must first have their degree recognized by U.S. authorities. Initially, the eligibility of the individual's degree is verified by the Dental Board. Once the degree is deemed eligible, the dentist must then pass the National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) that assesses fundamental and clinical dental knowledge, as well as the English Proficiency Test (EPT). Dentists who score well on these exams can apply for Advanced Standing programs that provide practical experience. Thousands of candidates from around the world apply to these highly competitive programs. If accepted, they must pay between $50,000 and $100,000 and complete the program, which lasts 17 months.
Thanks to the CODA Accreditation, graduates of Yeditepe University are automatically considered to have passed all these exams, training programs, and procedures. This also eliminates the need for a budget for the required educational validation.
