Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Mutaf Büyükarman, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yeditepe University and also the Chair of the Graphic Design Department, was a guest on the "Eğitim Merkezi" program broadcasted on Bloomberg HT television, hosted by Turgut Özay. Büyükarman shared insights into the vision of fine arts faculties and their contributions to society, as well as her views on the place of art and design in today's world, where creative industries are popular.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Büyükarman, highlighting the unique opportunities at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yeditepe University, which includes departments such as Plastic Arts and Painting, Graphic Design, Textile and Fashion Design, Theatre, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Art and Culture Management, mentioned that the Art and Culture Management and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts departments admit students through a centralized exam system, while the other departments admit students through talent exams.
Büyükarman, underlining the profound impact of art and design on all sectors today, advised university candidates to visit the university they intend to attend before making any choice, to talk to students and academics, and to explore the opportunities. Stating that one of their main goals is to connect art and design with society, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Büyükarman said, “We strive to inspire our students with the belief that they can change the world through art and design.”
