As we approach the final quarter of 2024, the latest development in artificial intelligence has taken place in the mobile phone industry. AI chips are now being integrated into phones, and experts highlight that encountering these integrated AI chips in phones will have striking effects on daily life.
Tolga Seçilmiş, lecturer at Yeditepe University, made noteworthy remarks about the innovations of integrating AI technologies into phones. 

Revolutionary Features of AI Chips

Tolga Seçilmiş, pointing out that competition in technology and mobile sectors will primarily focus on AI, said, "AI chips are now integrated into phones, bringing significant advantages such as speed, security, and energy efficiency to users. The recently introduced A18 chip is a current example of this revolution. These new chips process AI tasks within the phone, ensuring faster and more secure data processing, thus providing effective feedback to users."
Seçilmiş highlighted two prominent features of AI chips:
Real-Time Data Processing and Personalization: The presence of AI chips inside phones allows instant data processing without sending data to the cloud. This enables users to perform various operations quickly and effectively. For example, thanks to the AI chip, a user can analyze their monthly bills and visually observe increases in consumption or price changes. Additionally, an AI chip can instantly analyze and provide information about the history and artist of an artwork photographed by a user. Users can also execute desired operations easily without needing to code or make manual settings by giving simple commands to the AI. For instance, a command like 'Start the oven and begin cooking as I approach home' allows the AI to automate this task for you. Thus, AI chips offer personalized suggestions and automate daily life, making it more efficient and comfortable."
Advanced Language Capacity and Secure Cloud Support: AI chips can translate multiple languages quickly and accurately due to their advanced language capacity. This feature will enable users to communicate more effectively by eliminating language barriers during travels or business dealings.
If an AI chip encounters tasks that exceed the device's processing capacity, such operations are securely carried out over the cloud. All data is encrypted according to high-security standards on the cloud, ensuring users' maximum privacy and data security. This allows complex operations to be completed securely and swiftly."

New phone models are mainly being promoted with an emphasis on photography applications, which are most frequently used by end-users. Manufacturers aim to help users adapt more quickly and easily to technology by showcasing features such as AI-supported photo-taking capabilities. However, AI is not limited to this area; it has a much broader scope of application. Seçilmiş noted that AI chips in phones will become widespread in applications such as photography, data analysis, and personalization. "Years from now, when we look back at today, we will see a clear distinction between the era before and after phones with AI chips. AI technology will become more integrated into every aspect of our lives. Its integration with home technologies and wearable devices (such as smartwatches, glasses, etc.) will simplify daily life. We are currently witnessing these technologies in small steps, but bigger innovations are expected to enter our lives in the future. AI will revolutionize phones, our homes, and every aspect of our daily lives. These developments mark the beginning of a major transformation in the tech world and shape the future role of AI. Thanks to AI chips, our lives will become smarter, more personalized, and automated."
