YEDITEPE UNIVERSITY YUNIYEAR R&D AWARDS IMPLEMENTATION PRINCIPLES
6.1. Academics Receiving Science Awards
All Yeditepe University academics who have received the nationally prestigious academic achievement awards listed below are rewarded.
Achievement awards to be included in the award scope may be revised by the Yeditepe University Quality Commission R&D Subcommittee, provided that they are reported to the YUNIYEAR organization committee for the relevant evaluation period.
6.2. Academics with the Highest Number of Publications
Publications with DOI and assigned page numbers (not in press) are evaluated within this scope.
In cases where academics have the same number of publications, those with higher-impact publications are prioritized.
Large consortium and multi-center studies are excluded.
In Natural Sciences, Engineering, Architecture, Health Sciences and related fundamental fields, the top 3 academics publishing the highest number of review and/or research articles in international peer-reviewed journals indexed as SJR Q1, Q2 or Q3 are awarded.
In Social Sciences, Educational Sciences, Humanities, Administrative Sciences, Law and related fundamental fields, the top 3 academics publishing the highest number of review and/or research articles in international peer-reviewed journals indexed as SJR Q1, Q2 or Q3 are awarded.
6.3. National and International Projects with the Highest External Funding
In externally funded national and international projects where Yeditepe University is the executing institution (coordinator or partner institution in joint projects), the total contract budget allocated to Yeditepe University is considered.
Institutional shares and additional budgets granted during the ongoing project are not included.
Projects are evaluated based on their start date within the specified calendar year.
The highest-budget national projects and highest-budget international projects are evaluated separately.
Within this scope, the role of principal investigator is essential. If there are multiple researchers without a principal investigator role, each researcher is evaluated equally.
If the same researcher has both national and international projects, the total budget is taken into account and ranking is made in the higher-funded category.
For international projects funded in foreign currency, the year-end average exchange rate is used for Turkish Lira conversion.
Definition of National Projects:
Supports of Central Government Organizations (TUBITAK supports (ARDEB/TEYDEB/BİDEB), TÜSEB supports, Development Agencies, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (TAGEM), Relevant Ministries, etc.)
Definition of International Projects:
Projects supported by EU Framework Programs (HORIZON Europe), Erasmus+ KA2 bilateral and multilateral collaborations, COST, ERA-NET International R&D and Innovation Support Programs, etc.
