Yeditepe University 24 Physics Master and Doctoral Program The Physics Master’s and Ph.D. Program were established in 2002. With compulsory and elective courses in our programs, students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the basic field of "Physics" while at the same time find the opportunity to improve themselves in industrial physics such as "Health Physics" and "Metrology" and reach a level of knowledge and creativity via interdisciplinary studies. Besides educating graduates with the ability, education and knowledge to respond to a large part of the needs of the developing Turkish industry, we aim to educate instructors with our strong basic physics background knowledge. While our Master’s Degree Program graduates continue their careers at domestic (including our own department) and foreign universities, some of our PhD graduates have started to work as lecturers at other universities and some of them have been able to progress in their fields in the industry or at research centers (TÜBİTAK UME). The Physics Department Metrology and Calibration Laboratory (YUKAL) is accredited by TURKAK as per TS EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2010 standard. This laboratory provides students with advanced training in metrology calibration, as well as providing temperature and dimension measurements to the Turkish industry.
