The Department of Economics provides training and carries out research on issues related to the most efficient use of exhaustible resources to meet the needs of people, to increase these resources and to distribute the goods and services produced. Our department, in interaction with social sciences such as business, finance, public administration, sociology and law, graduates individuals who control the functions of economic structures, institutions and systems to meet the needs of companies and governments. Our department trains graduates who are able to analyze economic developments, cultural and social consequences of these developments, produce solutions by applying current analytical tools to economic problems, have professional and ethical values, develop independent and critical thinking competencies and use communication skills effectively.
