Our students who start their pre-clinical training by working on robot patients in Simulation Laboratories work on real patients at the training clinics that are highly developed in terms of physical possibilities under sterile conditions during their training. At our faculty, having 5 operating rooms where patients are operated under local and general anesthesia, our students can monitor operations in the operating rooms through intra oral and extra oral cameras from the conference hall and classrooms and ask questions to the operator. Our Accreditations Aiming to take the educational and service quality to the highest possible level since the day it was founded, Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry started its quality efforts towards hospital and patient services with ISO certificates in 2004, and continued its journey with the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in 2009, world’s most well-known and highest standards of accreditation. Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry and Dental Hospital is the first and only faculty hospital in the world that has a JCI accreditation, the world’s most trusted association in patient services audits in the healthcare industry, with its students and this process is renewed every three years. It passed JCI accreditation audit successfully in 2012, 2015 and 2019 and 2022 respectively, and as a result of field visits and inspections, it was accredited for the fifth time upon assessment based on 1000 standards, such as personnel management, infrastructure, technical equipment and emergency preparations, with the highest result up to date. 169
