Thinking different and being brave as well as being open minded were the core values we were taught by our experienced and distinguished academics at Yeditepe. During my four years of education, I learnt how to reach to a synthesis, look into different perspectives and disciplines, how to present, how to write and eventually, how to think. Our academics taught us to be inquisitive researchers who are self-confident and can easily share their findings not by “telling us” but by “having us experience it”. I also continued to benefit from what I have learnt in my Master’s programs after I have completed my undergraduate studies and I owe all my academic career to Yeditepe today, as well as all my knowledge. We discussed the periods, works, movements, ideas we covered in the courses together with their historical, sociological and psychological backgrounds and progressed by discussing them in the classroom environment. The courses in which we learned to evaluate works from various perspectives, to make original interpretations and to develop new perspectives were the most enjoyable courses I took during my studies.
