The Department of Textile and Fashion Design provides education in a wide spectrum of subjects ranging from the properties of fibers frequently used in the textile industry to the structure of fabrics; from the design of the fabric itself to the design patterns used to decorate the surface of the fabric; from the design stages of the garment to the technical drawing and the making of the patterns. Our department puts emphasis on practical trainings as well with 2 Garment Design Application Workshops, 2 Weaving Design Application Workshops, 1 Computer Aided Design Laboratory, 1 Print Design Application Workshop, and 1 Jewelry Design Application Workshop. Our department offers a wide range of workshops to its students with 2 live models, 9 fully equipped painting workshops, 3 fully equipped printing workshops and over 100 academic reliefs and sculpture collections as well as the only pattern hall of the region on a country basis.
