Industrial Engineering covers areas such as operational research, statistics and data analysis, production and inventory planning, logistics and supply chain, simulation and network theory, quality and project management and supports these areas with the basic approaches of system engineering such as systemmodelling and system dynamics, and shows how these approaches can be used in the design and management of complex production and service systems through projects and case studies. The department conducts research and development and industry cooperation projects in the fields of logistics, transportation, disaster management, health, production and energy. With its distinctive vision that combines genetic science with bioengineering methods, the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering provides its students education on highly contemporary topics such as Molecular Biology and Genetics, Bioinformatics, 2ERSFMSXIGLRSPSK] 8MWWYI )RKMRIIVMRK ERH &MS WYTTPMIW ERH 7XIQ'IPP 8IGLRSPSKMIW It aims to raise students who can produce solutions in various fields such as academia, industry, clinical medicine and forensics. The department has 5 student laboratories, 20 research laboratories and more than 50 analysis laboratories . In addition, we have a new additional building with an area of 2250 m2 for plant tissue culture and plant production, plant biotechnology and enzyme R&D studies and a pilot production facility. The Food Engineering Department provides students with a strong science, technology and engineering education as well as expertise in gastronomy and business with a trans-disciplinary approach focused on health, sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation as well as the necessary skill set to work in different fields such as management, accounting, marketing, finance, gastronomy, nutrition & dietetics and health with a holistic approach. It makes a significant contribution to informing society and individuals about health, nutrition, safe food and sustainability issues, improving human health and quality of life, and sustainable development goals. In our laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technology, our students are able to access the necessary industry connections with their experiments and scientific research projects carried out in collaboration with industry under the supervision of our experienced faculty members and experts.
