Faculty of MEDICINE

Prof. Dr. Sina ERCAN Dean of the Faculty of Medicine We witness very rapid changes in our lives. The faster our daily life and environment change, the faster our health status and current health services are delivered. In today’s medical faculties, we have to train physicians ready for health services that will have very different practices and standards in the near future. We all work for Medical Faculties that aim for raising well-educated individuals who are experts in fields within the rapidly growing science of medicine such as artificial intelligence, tissue engineering, from genetic diagnostics and treatments to advanced robotic applications; as well as who internalized the increasingly important humanist aspect, health advocacy, evidence-based medicine and preventive medicine, primarily in the Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine. The recent Covid-19 pandemic, which made every industry to undergo drastic and mostly permanent changes, also showed us how high is the need for adaptation in the education of Medicine. By adapting to the distance education models within this new normal period as Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine, we have proven how open and ready we are for any innovation by enabling our students to continue their education without a pause and without sacrificing the educational goals.
