In my four years at the department, I had plenty of opportunities to develop myself both academically and socially. I had a minor in Computer Engineering with a full scholarship, and thanks to that, I had the opportunity to develop myself in two different fields of engineering. Also, in my final year, I participated in a comprehensive TÜBİTAK project and developed my research and project management skills to a considerable extent. Aside from Python, C/C++, and SQL languages that we have learned at our department’s courses, we also learned software such as MATLAB, GAMS, Arena and Stella, putting our theoretical knowledge into practice and gained crucial insights. Both during their graduation project and during their education, with all the projects, case studies, computer applications and such, our students learn about how to apply their theoretical knowledge into practice and graduate being ready for their careers. Thanks to our course contents, which are updated according to the requirements of the rapidly changing technology and dynamic business world, I had the opportunity to improve myself in many areas from software to operations research, from supply chain to finance. I benefited from the experiences of our competent and successful faculty members not only in technical terms but also for my personal development. Thanks to the applied training methods carried out in our courses, I learnt how project development processes should proceed and experienced how important team spirit is by working in teams in these projects.
