Faculty of Engineering

The Department of Industrial Engineering aims to raise graduates who will be able to play a leading role in the solution of the problems in the sector they work as well as design, implementation and development of production and service systems, and contribute to the production of knowledge about Industrial Engineering by applying the basic principles of this branch of engineering. Industrial Engineering is an engineering branch that deals with the design, installation, efficient operation and improvement of integrated systems that convert basic inputs such as people, materials, equipment, energy and information into production of goods and services. Industrial Engineering covers areas such as operational research, statistics and data analysis, production and inventory planning, logistics and supply chain, simulation and network theory, quality and project management and information technologies. The Department of Industrial Engineering supports these areas with the basic approaches of system engineering such as system modeling and system dynamics, and shows how these approaches can be used in the design and management of complex production and service systems through projects and case studies. 46% of our students are on a scholarship MÜDEK-Accredited Department Project and Career Opportunities with University – Industry Collaborations 272 Industrial Engineering
