Vocational School

Automotive Technologies Electronics Technologies Internet and Network Technologies The Mechatronics Program which is at the intersection of electrical and electronics, computers and machinery aims to raise Mechatronics Technicians with knowledge-based projects and close an important gap in Turkey. At least 50% of the program courses are designed to include sector-based applications. Some of the areas of mechatronics are: • System integration • Modeling and design • Sensors • Automation • Robotic systems Career Opportunities Our graduates can start their career in anywhere there is industry present, such as in in robotic systems, automation systems, home appliances, automotive systems, defense industry, health technologies, aviation, and e-design as technicians/specialized technical personnel. In 2019, I started the Mechatronics Department of the Vocational School of our University. After 2 semesters of German preparatory education, I started the 1st year of the Mechatronics Department by bringing my German language level to the B1 level, which is the minimum language level that will be sufficient for the department. After finishing the 1st year autumn semester, I took the Erasmus + Internship mobility exam held by Yeditepe University Erasmus office and I was entitled to participate in Erasmus + mobility. After finishing the 1st year spring semester, I used my Erasmus + internship right for 3 months in the NRW state of Germany during the summer holiday and returned to complete my education. I completed my education process at Yeditepe University in 2022 and graduated as the first in the department and faculty with a GPA of 3.93. Samet Arslan Alumni 355 Double Major Programs • Technological production • Motion control • Vibration and noise control • Micro devices and optoelectronic systems Thanks to our national and international collaborations, our successful students can have Erasmus internships, and they can conduct Vocational Practice and Project Studies in Turkey’s or Germany’s various corporations in their last semester. Brand Courses of our program are conducted through “Industrial Collaborations” and students are enabled to meet with industry representatives directly, starting from the first year. Laboratories In order to ensure that our students gain theoretical knowledge as well as skills in applications, in our laboratories, Basic Level Digital Electronics, 8086/88 Microprocessor, Industrial Sensors, Moving Belt, Process and Scada, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, PLC and Arduino Training Sets, electrical-electronic measuring devices and a CMM device are used for practical training.
