Being the first faculty of law established in a foundation university and with its 25 years of experience, Yeditepe University Faculty of Law educates lawyers who are experts in Turkish law, who gained an understanding of law in a wide spectrum and not only in classical law terms, who are able to use legal English proficiently, knowledgeable about the basic law systems as well as other fields of social sciences, who believe in the rule of law principle, honest and who participate actively in the development of Turkish law system. In line with the protocol that has been signed between Yeditepe University and the Bar of Istanbul, our students have half of their clinical courses at the campus and the other half at the Bar of Istanbul. The Virtual Courtroom in our faculty enables students to take courses such as Private Debt Relations, Private Law Practices and Criminal Law Practices in a real court environment. Issued twice every year by our faculty, Yeditepe University Magazine for the Faculty of Law (YÜHFD) also provides its readers with articles that have been reviewed, verdict reviews as well as translations since 2004. Apart from the Law Club within the body of our Faculty, Yeditepe University Data Protection Society is also active since 2019. Aiming to make the data protection culture to become commonplace by creating projects that will make a difference in terms of privacy protection, YÜVET organizes student symposiums, interviews with experts in the field of privacy protection and workshops with the Personal Data Protection Institution of Turkey since the day it was founded.
