The global climate change and specifically Covid-19 pandemic made agriculture the most important industry throughout the world. Specifically Covid-19 showed us that agriculture cannot be sustained with traditional methods and new techniques and models should be applied, as well as the necessity of agricultural management. Achieving the level of global development in agricultural trade and management is based on understanding and applying the concept of block chain. Our aim is to raise students who have knowledge and vision in every step of the way from farmlands to international trade. With an interdisciplinary syllabus, we aim to realize this goal with practical training in business, management, commerce, technology, informatics, ecology, agriculture, food and innovation. 67% of our students are on a scholarship. The reason why I chose the German International Business Management department was that the courses and contents of the department were very suitable for my interests. As a result of my research, I discovered that it is a department that provides students with a vision with courses taught in many fields such as Finance, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technologies in order to get to know a business comprehensively from all aspects. In addition, the overseas education opportunities offered by the department are opportunities that can expand one’s horizons in terms of both academic and personal development. I had the opportunity to participate in a 6-month Erasmus programme in 2016 and study at the Hochschule Bremen-European Finance and Accounting department in Bremen, Germany. In addition to the advantages of studying in Europe, I believe that the effort to continue life alone abroad also brings maturity and awareness to the person. Since the time I started university, the opportunities provided by my university, the network I have created, and the social environment I have acquired have convinced me that I made the right decision. I was afraid of having difficulties while choosing my department in German, but with the qualified education I received and the support of the faculty members, the question marks in my head disappeared in a very short time. And with the internship / job opportunities I encountered, the company events organised by our department, the experience I gained through alumni meetings and the network I created, I was pleased with my choice of department and university every year. As a senior student, my only problem is that after a while, I will be away from our campus, which I am used to its greenery and enjoy spending time on its lawns. Indeed, the working area is incredibly wide and very open. When you graduate from Logistics Management and enter the sector, the expectations from you are quite high, if you are a graduate of Yeditepe Logistics Management, you can easily meet this expectation. The first thing I realised when I graduated was that I never attempted to look for a job, companies reached me and offered me jobs. I decided to continue my internship at DB Schenker, where I started my internship in the 3rd year of my university life, when I graduated. Since we graduated with at least 2 foreign languages, I was able to benefit from the overseas experiences offered by my company. Yeditepe has been a university of great importance in my development, I look forward to starting my master’s degree. Thanks to the academic and social opportunities provided by Yeditepe, I had the opportunity to take firm steps in my career life by improving myself. I also benefited from the double major programme. Thanks to the “Logistics Club”, which I have been a part of since the preparatory class and which I was happy to be the president of in my last year, I easily reached difficult connections. As a result of these opportunities, I did an internship at Europe’s largest technology holding and in my last semester, as our professors said, I found myself in the position of “choosing a job, not looking for a job”, and I am currently continuing my career by working part-time at another global holding.
