The team from Yeditepe University received their cups from Berat Albayrak, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, in the award ceremony of Shell’s competition which was organized in the intention of encouraging young people worldwide to design, develop, and produce energy-saving tools.
In the competition where 13 different teams and a total of 200 students coming from various high schools and universities of Turkey, YUEMT-Fluxus team received the winning award in the category of “City Concept” among power-operated tools. Our students received their cups in the Innovation Fair organized by Turkish Exporters Assembly.
Prof. Dr. Canan Aykut Bingöl, the rector of Yeditepe University; Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akgün, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department; Associated Professor Dr. Namık Çıplak, Faculty Member in Mechanical Engineering Department; Özge Kaya Ayvat, Head of Technology Transfer Office, and students participated in the ceremony.
The winning teams in Shell Eco-Marathon Türkiye will compete with representatives coming from 26 European countries in Shell Eco-marathon Europe which will be held in London next June.
